Making graphology accessible to professionals
Our flagship product gives you a comprehensive computer generated narrative report based on a standardised handwriting analysis.
Graphology is the study of handwriting in its broadest sense. It is commonly taken to mean the identification of similarities between two samples of handwriting with the intention of proving that they were both written by the same person. This skill is often utilised in criminal investigations and is thus referred to as forensic graphology. A second use of the term refers to the use of handwriting to assess psychological or temperamental characteristics. This is a highly developed discipline, based on a body of established research.
Identifying temperamental factors from handwriting is our area of expertise and the theoretical basis of our products.
Such "stylistic" methods (relying on the style or manner in which a person performs a common task) used in service of personality assessment are commonly called "projective techniques" because the subject unconsciously projects their internal structure onto the way in which they perform the task thus unintentionally revealing deeper aspects of their personality. The most common of these calls on the subject to describe the event portrayed in an intentionally ambiguous drawing. The results can be remarkably revealing and often tap information that would be difficult to access by conventional methods of psychological assessment.
This also applies strongly to graphology and, in the hands of a competent practitioner, it is capable of exposing temperamental features that the subject may be inclined to intentionally obscure.
We offer a full range of industrial psychological assessment services yet, it is our expertise in this particular application of graphology that sets us apart.
